At the SCHS there seems like there is so much to do with so little time and people to accomplish all that needs to be done! Our volunteers are a tremendous help. These selfless people volunteer their time and knowhow to improve the lives of our animals. We are always looking for volunteers to assist us with animal care from light work, such as laundry and dishes, assisting in the cat room and bathing dogs to more manual labor such as cleaning kennels, walking dogs, washing outdoor kennels and more. Do you have a special talent? Maybe you are good with the computer, or have construction skills. Maybe you're a groomer or dog trainer willing to volunteer your much needed services. Even if you aren't sure if your skills are needed call us and find out. You might be surprised how well you could fit in. We ask that you do bring a snack/lunch if you volunteer on longer day. We do not have a mandatory lunch break.
Our Volunteer hours are:
Monday 8-4
Tuesday 8-2
Wednesday 8-12 noon
Thursday 8-2
Friday 8-4
Saturday 8-12 noon
Teenagers under 15 yrs of age must be accompanied by an adult.
