We love our volunteers!! One more time: WE LOVE OUR VOLUNTEERS!! There is not a humane society, animal welfare organization or animal rescue facility that can operate without help from those people who share their time, their talents and their passion to help in any way possible - the volunteers! There are always more tasks to do than there are people to do them; there are always more ideas, more things that can be done if only there are the people to do them. Our volunteers are a tremendous help. These selfless people volunteer their time, passion and knowhow to improve the lives of our animals in numerous ways. We are always looking for volunteers to assist us with animal care from light work, such as laundry and dishes, assisting in the cat room and bathing dogs to more manual labor such as cleaning kennels, walking dogs, washing outdoor kennels and more. And, that's just at the Shelter facility. We also need help with fundraisers, on-site adoptions, transportation to rescues, picking up donated items, being a community ambassador, etc., etc. What do you want to do? We're sure we can match your skills & talents to a real need within the Stephens County Humane Society! Do you have a special talent? Maybe you are good with the computer, or have construction skills. Maybe you're a groomer or dog trainer? Call us and let's find out how you can make a real difference in the lives of the dogs and cats who find themselves in our care. You might be surprised how well you could fit in. Our Volunteer hours are:

Sunday 8 - 1
Teenagers under 16 yrs of age must be accompanied by an adult.
